Established in 2006 by designer, Murphy Martines, COPY is a contemporary men’s sportswear collection that adds style and distinction to comfortable clothing. COPY is a full cut and sew collection with an extensive accessory and footwear collection. The key to the collection is mixing different silhouettes and blending fabrics to create new styles and nontraditional designs. In 2010, Martines joined forces with Four Star Distribution, owners of the well-known footwear and apparel skate brand, C1RCA, to develop and grow the men’s contemporary collection, COPY. The finalized joint venture will continue to build upon the company’s present success.
Bio
COPY is designed by Murphy Martines. He has been designing apparel, accessories and graphics for more than a decade in the street and action sports industry. After moving his way up from intern to creative director at Perry Ellis action sports division, he decided to pursue his passion in the contemporary market and created COPY in 2006. Through-out his career
he has traveled to more than 20 countries and has lived in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York and now resides in Orange County.
Prior to partnering with FSD, Martines handled all aspects of the business from design, production, shipping to sales. In its first season the brand was accepted into all of the best trend-setting boutiques across the U.S. and internationally. Now carried in better department stores as well as the top contemporary and streetwear boutiques across the country, COPY continues to grow and represent a cutting edge lifestyle.
